My interest in the art world, and its forms, starting as a child, in high school. What my teacher taught me in those projecting slides, had for me a magical, evocative of other worlds.
With fifteen years along with my father and in full Christmas, I did some work on the sculpture of Praxiteles, that marked me forever. These beautiful days of working with him have remained forever in my mind, as something very special.
This encouraged me to begin to study architecture, but without clear yet why the left by the Medicine, which I finished in 1977, specializing in gynecology.
But that love of art, there has never abandoned me. I have always found time to go to drawing and painting nudes in the Circle de Bellas Artes de Madrid. I went this way of painting, teachers and friends, Gabriel Pérez-Juan and Paco Sotomesa.
Slowly I began to make small sculptures, until one day I looked at the Archaeological Museum an exhibition about art and pre-Columbian jewelry that struck me by his artistic conception, deeper than just ornamental, and I realized that a gem could be just as creative as any art object.
All this, coupled with the push of Guadalupe, my wife, who always protected and encouraged me to realize this desire, she constantly looked at me, prompted me to open this store and workshop, where I started to make my own jewelry designs. A concept, the store-workshop, which I believe is currently undervalued and that I claim as creative structure beyond the classic concept store.
Also thanking all my family who always supported me in this small madness.
